Thought I would share the opportunity I had this week. I got a call from my doctor’s office (I know some of the team there personally) asking if I would be willing to help out with one of their patients. This incredible lady turned 100 years old on July 5th. The doctor had promised her that he would rent her a Ferrari when she turned 100 - but he was not able to find one that was available. They asked if I would be willing to bring my 430 to their office for her appointment on the 7th and give her a ride - her only Ferrari ride ever! No way I could turn down an opportunity like that - how many chances will you get in your lifetime to give a Ferrari ride to a 100 year old woman? She is from a rural area in North Texas and remembers riding in a horse and buggy as a child - I wish I could have heard more of her story.

The whole staff came out to greet her when she arrived, and took lots of photos of her with the car. Then when asked if she wanted a ride she didn’t hesitate for a second. During the ride she was beaming and said that it made her feel like a 19 year old! What an amazing opportunity to do something for someone.

So anyway - here is Bernice from Whitesboro, TX at 100 years old sitting in a Ferrari F430 with her doctor before the ride.

That is really terrific - my hat is off to you and the staff at the doctor's office! Just curious, how fast did you go?

    That’s nice, good job....

My 83 year old Mom rides in my cars a couple of times a year.

I took it very easy on her. We were in a highly populated area, so 100 at 100 wasn’t an option…

Oddly enough I know her. It’s been many years since the last time I saw her. Good to see she’s still going strong.

That's awesome. That's one of my favorite thing about owning these cars. Random people begging to take their kid for a ride & watching the kids face. So glad you did that for her. What a bad ass woman; 100 y/o & she wants to go for a Ferrari ride.

This needs a "love" option. "Like" isn't enough.

What a great story. Nice of you to do that!

My Father got his first and last ride in a Ferrari at 77. Mike Charness was gracious enough to take him around TGPR in his 308 and it was the fastest my father had ever been in a car. Sadly, he passed away before I got my Ferrari but posts like these sure bring back good memories!
