Race has been going now for just over 3 hours - go to here for live timing http://www.lemans-series.com/en/s01_home/s01p01_home.php and also to www.radiolemans.com

Congrats to Rik with his #59 Team Modena having secured the GT1 pole with Tomas Enge and the guys are currently running 22nd overall, FIRST GT1. Tomas is driving right now. Looks like one of the two vettes is out and the the Aston's competition is the Lambo.

Also, Virgo Motorsports needs to be congratulated for getting the 430 of Bell/Bruni back into the race after Rob had the back end of the car a blaze during a practice session - photo of car was most interesting. Virgo is currently running 25th overall, first in GT2 - ahead of the IMSA Performance Matmut Porsche. Bruni is driving right now for Virgo.

P1 is Peugeot 1-2 followed by Audi #1 with Allan driving now. The Charouz Lola-Aston took third on the grid but has slipped back to 5th.

Not surprising is the #34 "Purple Porsche" with Verstappen driving right now - 7th overall and obviously first in P2. This Spyder is amazing. Looks like their competitor the Danish Team Essex is seventh in P2. The Speedy Lola P2 coupe is in 2nd place in P2 (beautiful car).

Can't wait until the LMS Silverstone race in September. There's lots of talk about increasing the number of races for LMS for 2009 - that's good news.

    Carol

The Audi's are turning in some really fast laps right now - faster then the 908's. Maybe there's hope yet!!!

Good for Darren Manning (IRL) he's running currently third in LMP2 in the Embassy Zytek

    Hi Brian - F1 circuit

BIG congrats to Virgo Motorsports for starting from the way back, having a car not long ago that was on fire, to winning - CONGRATS.

BIG CONGRATS TO RIK - just listened to Tomas' interview. Way to go guys. See you next month and hopefully you'll come across the pond to Petit and Laguna. 20th overall is fantastic. First GT1.

Liz Halliday finished 22nd overall - congrats to her in the P1 ride - good to see her back in the prototypes.

Peugeot finished one-two; Audi three-four and the Lola/Aston fifth. Jos Verstappen and his team took first in P2, 7th overall.

    Great endurance racing once again.

    Carol

Just returned from the Ring and busy to select usable images. Here's one of the Virgo F430 battling with it's sister cars. Great performance as the team started out of the pitlane after the fire on friday.

sorry, but I don't know how to get Radio LeMans to work on a Mac - it was working fine for me on my laptop

thanks for the photo of the two Ferraris - great shot - have more?

just had a very interesting read from an article on SpeedTV - rumors of perhaps Mika moving up from GT cars to the Puegeot 908 in 2009 and Jamie perhaps heading to Rahal's new endeavor with the BMW in GT2 - I really like both of them and they've been a Risi fixture for me - guess time will tell . . .

looks like changes to the LeMans-Series for 2009 also - hope they add a few more races; hope that if Barcelona is going to be a test, that the public can go to the event unlike testing at Paul Ricard - Barcelona is a very easy access and great viewing circuit; hoping that the races are broken down over two days (rather stupid and can't really see it as a tv benefit) and the races aren't shortened ----this is endurance not sprint racing
