    Lately I have had the urge to try my hand at a Stearman again. There's nothing like wheeling one around and doing whatever you feel like. Great airplane!

    Do it ! My bucket list has as many warbirds as possible. The owners of these craft are the ultimate experts, and provide excellent instruction for a bargain.

    Reminds me of vintage race car owners. I read that when making the film "Rush", the directors wanted to get stunt drivers for the cars. The car owners said nope, not happening. We drive our cars, or you don't get them. These were real vintage F1 cars. Stunt drivers would have been out of their league.

    Five years ago on my Dad's 94th Birthday we got him a ride with Scott Martin (Chief Gulfstream Test Pilot) in his Stearman. Dad actually flew the plane for 35 minutes of the one hour flight. Dad was a Naval Aviator turned Marine who was a Flight Instructor after getting his wings. Dad will be 100 next February and we are wondering if he still has it. The 2016 flight was on a very cold day and it was struggle to get Dad into the cockpit. Time will tell!
