Awsome- http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fsearch.ebay.com%3A80%2Fsearch%2Fsearch.dll%3Ffrom%3DR40%26satitle%3D4632498365%26fvi%3D1&item=4632498365
the measured power is 1038 RWHP; take in account about 15% loss ~ 1200 hp... then take into acount all that wheelspin; id esitmate a few more hundred ponies are under the hood. they claim top speed is well over 250mph, and did the standing mile @ 212mph :WOW: not bad LPE, not bad
Lingenfelter always puts out AMAZING cars. I've loved their work for a few years now, John will truely be missed.
Nice, I have a 93 Conv w Lingenfelter heads & Cam, sucker flies, must have around 450 hp now & it started as a 300 hp commuter car Its a real sleeper I'm dying to get a C6 Z06 but I want to take mine racing so I cant get this crazy
Those pics aren't all the same. Some show it with the z06 style rear brake ducts and some pics don't..... Erik
The car had Z06 skins put on it. It is not a Z06....it is a 2005 C6. The Pix without the Z06 body were from a test run session in Oscoda Mich. from 2005 when the car was in OEM form. SM
Its listed in the Ads here as well. Didnt see any need to mention it in the Forum just to keep peace. I figured it would be figured out. Anyway......I thought I would at least get some opinions. Thanks! SM
Thanks for answering the car looks awesome! I just noticed some differences in the pics and didn't see it listed in the description. Good luck with the sale, and you picked the right color Erik
Amen. I have always been one of his biggest fans. His cars are well known for unreal power & reliability.
It's fast, but IMO not $200k fast. Find another 600hp and get back to me. btw a TT viper on 20's with no traction control did 219 in a standing mile on a pump gas tune, 212 is old news.
noticed he answered a question similar to yours in the ad. Q: Hate to tell you but 212mph is FAR from the fastest Corvette ever tested in the country. The LPE C5 TT went 226mph, on the cover of motor trend. The 1988 Callaway Sledgehammer went 254.76mph and it was a street car. A: The ad reads fastest C6 corvette.Slow down breath deep and read the words. The car is plenty capable of higher speeds but was strickly regulated by the magazine. Under different conditions 250+ in the hands of LPE and its driver is quite possible. I am aware of both those cars by LPE. Thanks for the quick judgment call though.
I'm just curious, But does every post on FERRARICHAT now have to turn into a; " Yea thats cool but my dads friend has a nitrous injected turbo charged JATO rocket assisted_______________, that will kick that cars butt with 5 people in it and pulling a race trailer" type of thread. I'm not sure if the average user age is falling ,but it gets old. Just my $.02. Darrell.
I agree.... But thats the territory you sometimes have to face. Everyone has an opinion. I allways try to show respect and take them with a grain of salt sometimes when confronted with such harsh opposition. Thats what the forums are all about OPINIONS. Good, bad and ugly. With a car like mine here....I expected it. Somewhere, someone, higher speed, Dodge viper. ITS OK BY ME. I own a Viper as well.... I am a car guy.....I like and own lots of different cars from LOTS of brands. I will stick by what I have written on the Ebay Ad. The car is fresh out of the LPE shop and built for one thing....going very very very fast. If another magazine wishes to put together a BALLS OUT TOP SPEED RUN into the 250's......I will bring the car.....If its not sold. SM
This is the off topic area... What amazes me is how stock that thing looks - a ZO6 with maybe upgraded wheels? Good lord you could have some fun with that. I seriously considered buying a GTO last November (they were really cheap) and sending it to LPE for a conversion. http://www.lingenfelter.com/GTO366LS2.htm I figured it would be a neat daily driver/sleeper with a warranty to boot for about 35K. Or you could outdo a ZO6 with a supercharger http://www.lingenfelter.com/ls2gtoscic.htm Still might if the right car falls in my lap.
