    John,

Of course you did see this from the Carfax report?

"Failed emissions inspection Designated GROSS POLLUTER" (104K miles)

Would you say this needs a major, major, major service?

    Here's where it is:

    Cars Dawydiak Segway/Vespa
    1450 Franklin St
    San Francisco, CA 94109-5446
    415-928-2277

The part about the Segway/Vespa concerns me!

I'll go look at it if you want. After all, we all need a project car!

And the dealer's asking price is 29k...which means they'd propbably take a whole lot less. Way too many unanswered questions but if this thing had any documentation history AT ALL, its tools and books and ran decent I'd surely think it is work 24-25k assuming it is way out of service. Add $5k to get her up to speed and drive another 100k and you have a driver for $30k! Your mileage may vary.

Seems like it might be a great candidate for a track car, or a good project car. I don't think there were factory challenge cars in 1990, so it is probably a dealer converted challenge car.

If it was a "real" challenge car, it would be a tb and the VIN would be even instead of odd, or am I wrong?

Still if there isn't to many deferred maintenance and issues, it could make a nice car.
