69/100 indicates it's a Fiorano. It's worth more than the ask in parts alone.

Ok - I just talked to the guy - He told me that it's his boss's car and he died so it's being sold; his boss drove "the hell out of his Ferraris"

He told me the cam-belt service has been completed and he's got all the service history for the car as well.

    He's also selling his boss's 575M.

    Sounds really good guys.

I wonder how many things need to be replaced or refreshed/updated on a 108K mile Ferrari. I don't know whether it's appropriate to say that this car is well sorted and needs nothing...

    Thoughts?

If an F1 has reached this many miles, I would say its a good car. They are ment to be driven. If you park a toyota for twenty years it will give you issues too.

Absolutely! Have a customer with over 90K on his Gallardo, it's by far the best driving one I see through the shop.

Nice to see that someone has driven the 355 but this baby is going to need a major major engine refresh. Ill bet the power is down considerably. Unfortunately the car is only worth 25gs at best because we all know the cost of a major engine refresh. Combine that with all the other worn out parts on this car and you will be well into the 70gs(and still have a 355 with over 100k) and we all know what that can buy. This is a good buy for someone who can do all his own work and even then it will cost you.

It always amuses me, when I talk to guys who will ooohhh and ahhhhhh and cheer at $300-400K for a restored barn find car with unknown miles and yet talk down a clean properly maintained car with "normal" street car mileage. If properly maintained, any car should be able to be kept as good as new virtually forever.

This car, especially if its a Fiorano as we suspect, is a freakin' bargain!

I would certainly do a leak down test but in my opinion there is a good chance the engine in this car has a better chance of being in great condition than some low mile cars.

(as it would likely have been 100% up to temperature, oil as well as coolant every trip it took).

A low mile car may have just as many cold starts but just taken on short trips never reaching full operating temperature.

Not saying that's always the case but like everything else "it depends".

it is comically irrational that 355 fans/owners constantly bemoan prices being too high...maybe I am just counter intuitive

Theres no reason to believe this car will need an engine rebuild. They are meant to be driven. Why would a Ferrari engine be any different than any other engine? Are the blocks softer? are the pistons softer? I was just reading a story about a guy with 500,000 miles on his GMC truck with original drive train. In fact the only non wear itmes he has repaced is 2 radiators. Any car can go the distance barring any major design or mechanical flaw. No reason all you Ferrari owners cannot enjoy your cars and drive the wheels off of them.
I just bought a 1999 Porsche 911 with 109,000 miles on it. Runs and drives perfect. Compression etc is as good as new. yet all the Porsche guys will tell you its doomed. WHY?

I see nothing wrong with a car that has been driven.
100,000 miles is nothing in a car jesus lets all keep them in the garage and just stare at them and keep them safe for the next owners right?

Incorrect. I look after quiet a few cars that have covered this kind of mileage. I also used to look after a fleet of "Ferrari experience" track cars. One Giallo 355 had covered over 120,000 TRACK miles, with great comps and leakdowns. That car lost its transmission due to years of clumsy gear changes but other than that it needed no major repairs.
