This is why I quit drinking . . . well not really the reason, but it aint a bad one. Another Omlette if you please!!
If this is the kind of thing the Algonquin Hotel marketing department has to work on, I want a job there.
Same here, as they can't even come up w/ an original idea, hense my omlette remark - remember St Regis or some hotel had the 10K omlette for lunch.
Meet with the jeweler prior to ordering this drink? What person with that kind of money would want to do that? Interesting concept though.
Mental note to self: make sure either JC or Hubert puts down their black AMEX...and keep NayNay far away from the hostess...or he may order four of them...
Yes, I really think the only way a $10,000 drink makes any sense at all is if it's impulsive. Meetings and advance planning takes what could be a delightfully care-free yet expensive moment (oh, remember when NayNay ordered the $10,000 drink!?), and pushes it across the line to something which, premeditated, seems pretty indefensibly insane (you mean he really spent several days dropping $10,000 on a Drink??). Hmmm... this from someone who decided to buy a new 550 on a coin toss... never mind.
