For the upgrades it dosent look like it would be worth it. It dosent say anything about priceing but I'll guess it will tack on 20+K
    From the article:
the SLR 722 Edition features a supercharged 5.5-Liter V8 producing 478kW/650 horsepower, as opposed to the standard SLR's 460kW/626 horsepower. The result is a supercar capable of accelerating from 0-62 mph in a mere 3.6 seconds (standard SLR: 3.8 seconds), 0-124 mph in 10.2 seconds (standard SLR: 10.6 seconds), and achieving a top speed of 209.4 mph (standard SLR: 207.5 mph).

Now if they gave it 722Hp then you would have a car

I like it, and I think they got the wheels right.

The sales aren't good for this car...

They try to boost them by a hyper upper exclusive something with track club and other F-marketing standards... Doesn't smell good IMO.

it might be a desperation play. it might have been on the drawing board since day one. regardless, it isn't gonna do much for demand imo.

the SLR is an "interesting" car but it isn't a "compelling" car.

I also think it's cool that you can finally manualy shift gears(paddle shifters). That original auto tranny would drive me crazy.

Like the old wheels better. Heard you can't give SLR's away today.

The original makes the SLR look very overdone, confused and Bangled.

Why doesn't MB take design cues from their racers which were so beautiful instead of these asymmetrical, gangly lines they've been making in the last 5 years?

I suppose they had to do something with the 599 receiving so much praise. LOL
