I'm going to have a look at it as well. I just need back seats capable of fitting my boys (3 and 5),... and back rest that are not negative reclined / sloped is a requirement...

Otherwise, it'll likely be the 6 series cabrio...

My 7 year old twins barely fit in my 06 cab now, I have to remove the bottom seat cushions for the booster and move the seats up a bit for them. I can not imagine this car having that much more room. With those prices after adding the options you will want the car with be up around 120K. I'd look at a Maserati GT convertable a beauty and real back seats.

Excellent point. I don't have recent "real" data,... but I suspect you can get a nice low miles no story Maser GT cabrio for about $100K. Early Bentley CGT Cabrios can also be had near that price at approx 30K miles...

I would also add an Aston Vantage to the list.

Curious about back seat space too, especially since the new car has supposedly 10cm longer wheelbase.

Just ran some rough numbers on a carrera S. 108950 base. will easily top 120K optioned as you say,... approx 130K drive away. I'm out. I'd rather have a 997 turbo S cab... (which I won't buy due to the leather clad torture rack masquerading as rear seats...)

Same here. I saw the 991 Coupe in person, and so far I am not that impressed about its looks next to the 997, which I thought I would be. It looks like someone took a 997 and pumped it with air.

    That's a lot of money for a non turbo 911. I'm sure they'll depreciate like a rock.

I wonder what they'll want to lease it for.. $1500/m?

My 06 997S sticked for 101K, this car with what my car came with is 22K more. I looked at the interior specs, there is not that much more room in the back seat and if you have younger kids you have to have a car seat orbooster back there. I had a 07 M6 had a much bigger back seat, and the new model has more room. I had 08 Maser GT huge back seat can fir real people back there.

you guys needing back seat space for kids should look at the M3 coupe- $65k new,$50k used- 415hp, 8300rpm red line , great handling but still comfortable as an everyday car. The porsches are great but the prices for the new 991s are becoming a bit ridiculous. My 2007 997S cab listed for about $98k, bought it for $89k plus taxed-94k out the door. A one would be closer to $130k out the door.
