  1. Found a used Portofino that was a rental car for a great price but with 120,000km. Close to buying it.

Can these newer cars push 200,000km

Good looking car. If you are still considering - definitely view/drive the car yourself.

I've rented a Cali & Cali T. The Cali T had a power roof that failed - trapping my luggage in-the-trunk (in Sicily). Had to return the car early. Personally I would not buy a Ferrari that was a rental for fear that you'll lose a transmission, clutch, or power top. Any money you save on the purchase can be quickly spent on repairs.

If correctly maintained and approved guarantee active you could give it a try and risks are calculable.
    What*s the price tag?

I would be slightly wary about buying an ex rental. How many lunch control full send launches has it done? How much abuse has the suspension endured?.How many times has it been thrashed from cold? All of these things accelerate wear that shortens useful lifetime of components.

Of course, all these things can happen to a privately owned vehicle, but in general, people tend to take a little more care of their own cars

on the other hand, if the price is right (and it has to be right), and there is a decent warranty then it could be worth a punt.

FYI , the cheapest Ferrari often winds up being the most expensive . Not a car I would buy. It’s not the miles that scare me it’s the previous 1000 renters.

I would generally not advise buying a rental car with such mileage (too many people driving it, too many different driving styles and skills). On the other hand I understand your way of thinking: if the car solidly checks out (PPI), if there is still a warranty for several years and if the price is right of course, may be it could be a good thing.

Interested in reading what other members think about your question regarding high mileage (not the rental car aspect), can a modern Ferrari go from 120,000kms to 200,000kms?

  10. This would be a worthy experiment....

  11. To be honest, i drove the car, its my first time driving a Portofino, the first thought in my head was "STRAIGHT PIPE", I drove a f12 a few years ago and they are in the same price range....

Am i crazy to think the f12 is a better option now?

  12. Although I do believe the car is a decent daily, I would probably drive my 2016 Bentley GTS more often, I find the S mode pull is more on the GT is more thrilling than the Portofino.

I am not sure why I think any more.
