I reserve judgement until I see it in person. Photographers like dramatic angles and designers design things to be viewed from natural, human angles.
I like it much more than F12 or 812. To me both were disastrous.

After witnessing the F 12, the 812, and now this car, the 12 C, I personally think this is the most beautiful car of the three. But the point is, it’s intentionally a different car almost a completely new model. The design of the F 12 an 812 were more beastly looking and aggressive cars. I think, depending on how you ordered them, color, schemes, etc. altered their beauty. I was personally never fond of the rear end of the F 12 or the 812. The scalloping on the side panels of the 812 were a little awkward looking. All in all, I think we have all grown to love those cars and as they do grow on you. I think Ferrari has listened to people who thought the scalloping on the side panels of the 812 were a little awkward looking. All in all, I think we have all grown to love those cars and as they do grow on you. I think Ferrari has listened to people like myself, who are yearning for the classical Ferrari lines, and not the busy Lambo look. Take the new Corvette. It looks like a mishmash of Ferrari and Lamborghini with multiple cheap plastic bits trying to make it look like a super car bargain. The Corvette would’ve been a much better car with more subdued styling. I think that’s what Ferrari is trying to achieve with this car. I agree that I wish the interior was a little bit more retro to match the exterior. the spider version knocks it out of the park in my humble opinion. I would definitely love this Ferrari to be my ride off into the sunset car!

I was thinking a similar idea. We can partially thank Lamborghini for this because the more loud and angular they become the more composed, classic and classy Ferrari becomes. And that appears to be a winning formula for both brands.

Manzoni is going to have a small war on his hands over "the black bits." LOL.
I love them and the contrast and understand why he insists on not coloring them but if the voices on this forum are any indication, he's in for a slugfest.

On the Coupé they added new colors (Matte Rosso and Nero Purosangue) and new "Standard Seat" not available on the Spider. The color images look corrupted.

EDIT: Nero Purosangue is available on the Spider, but not the Matte Rosso.

EDIT #2: They removed the Matte Rosso and added the Nero Purosangue on the "Classic" range.:D

I think people forget or don't know Manzoni did the F12. He's done everything since then and been on the design team since 2010.

I like the spider and the coupe but since I have the 812 coupe I would go for the spider. However, I have a Puro on order and I think I will keep the 812 and not order one of these. I don't want to trade the 812 for one of these because mine is a non-gpf version and I love the sound. The additional speed is unattainable for me so there is no difference there.

They are both beautiful cars and definitely set apart from the two predecessors. Well done IMO.

Someone asked if you can get CarPlay on the center screen. I noticed in one video there was a clear CarPlay icon on the side of the center screen- so, I think you surely can.

My criticism of the interior is that it would have been more useful to have the center screen on the PS.

Overall I like the car, it was time for something new. My take is this is a near Icona model. V12 NA inspired by the past using current tech. I would have preferred something more forward facing, but that is now the hybrids.

I just don't think darker blues and black typically look great next to each other. Haven't seen it in person though, perhaps it works here. (These renderings are quite dark so hard to judge.)

I don't personally care for the black accents at the front or the back. I suspect they'll be quite divisive (my poll results support that, though who knows what biases are in these results). Again, though, I haven't seen it in the metal yet. My opinion may change when I see it. I'm hoping so! I'm really rooting for this car - was planning to go nuts with TM. And I want it to be successful regardless.

Yes, for sure. I'm sure people are also more likely to verbalize positive feedback and withhold negative feedback at an event hosted by Ferrari. Plus everyone is in a pretty good mood there I bet!

That said, I can 100% believe that this car looks better live. Certainly the photos look better than those first few renderings we saw.

So probably a bit of both going on.

I've been in a synthwave phase and just bought a TR last year, and to me this looks like a 365 "Daytona" drawn in the 1979 by someone like Syd Mead, predicting what a 2030 Daytona would look like. It's like Late 70's to early 80's futurism.

I don't like spiders because of the extra weight and lack of rigidity (specially in these aluminum chassis), but I have to admit, it's the first time of my life I appreciate the design of a spider.

I noticed two persons are planning to order it in black, imo it's remove the front black band that give so much character of the 12cilindri, (although I'm not a fan of the black rear wings)

I don't know for you, but in pictures the car was giving me the impression to be wider, I though it was because of the more flat design, but now that I'm aware of the +20cm it's makes sens.

These extra width doesn't bother me on esthetic (quite the opposite), but I'm freaking out for the handling!
The car would be noticeably more planted on high way, but unfortunately noticeably less narrow in the road, specially European ones...

Also regarding the weight it is 35kg heavier that the F12/812, in addition to the width, the glass roof would probably add a bit in that, the aero rear system etc..
I am not aware of any additional weight due to emission regulation in the exhaust line compare to the 812, as it was the case for the 812 compare to the f12.
Someone here mentioned a new door regulation that explain the extra width, I would be grateful to now more about it.

At the end I'm super happy, we still got the F154 without hybrid, in his noble NA form, still in RWD only, and in a retro post modern package :)
Unfortunately the regulator added 20cm of our beloved, and for not even more space inside but all in the doors??
Is the regulator does'nt know that all front mid F154 owners are gentleman who don't need that kind of constraints? ;)

Manzoni can say what he wants and personally I couldn't care less. If customers want to "colour the black bits" they will. There is this stuff called PPF which pretty much allows customers to do what they want ito colour :).

Telling me what I can and cant do when I have spent money on an item is "red rag to a bull"

This made me laugh. I used to tell buyers the same thing when they said they wanted to put a vinyl top on their new Cadillacs!
    They did anyway.

Sad to say, aside from the SP3, the entire current model range from Ferrari lacks any inspiring boldness or passion. This is just another mediocre example. Fingers crossed that the forthcoming LaFerrari successor changes that trajectory.

Car looks good to me but increase in width is an issue. Can someone please reassure me that the 12C isn’t 8 inches wider than 812 and SF90?
