WHY AM I UNDERWHELMED ?? .. NOD TO THE PLEXI DAYTONA IS COOL. NOT SURE ABOUT THE CONVERTIBLE BUTTRESS ... WOULD HAVE BEEN COOL IF THEY WERE OMITTED.. HEAVIER ?? REAR END OF SF90 ?? -- I'M SURE THIS THREAD WILL GO ON FOR A SPELL
When I first saw via email from Ferrari, my thoughts went straight to a Daytona. ♂️ Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
I like the car--don't really care for the name but who cares about that. I think the screens inside are overkill and won't age well. Hopefully the buttons and electronic stuff is better than the purosanguae / sf90 / 296 probably will stick with my 812 though, not sure there is enough of a difference to upgrade. never felt the 812 was underpowered
I agree with others, I see homage to the Daytona. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat.com mobile app
F167 is quite a bit bigger than the 812, that's why all the black out stuff to make it visually appear smaller.. 76mm longer 205mm wider [EU pole side-impact regulation makes the doors very thick] 16mm taller 20mm shorter wheelbase apparently Ferrari is quite worried about selling out, pricing is quite low considering all the inflation that has occurred since the 812 345EURO base (about $365K using current exch rate) spider 380EURO base (about $402K) the "active aero" =waste, all that extra weight and complexity for all of 50kg downforce at high speeds...
after watching a few videos it is not as bad as my knee jerk reaction, the main issues are as follows: wheels in the coupe press cars are awful, remind me of how lambo went all angular, and it accentuates the rear of the car which is also too lambo like the spider shown with different wheels looks much better, and in general the spider is better looking overall with top down noise regulated but i'm sure aftermarket will fix that two tone body parts reminds me of Mclaren designs, the rear black spoiler section doesn't work for me all in all it's not bad, i like it over the 812, but i still think the F12 with the classic front grille and circular rear tail lights wins the beauty contest
Max of 76 decibels for a V12 that revs to 9500 rpm?!?! You sure about this? That would be SO lame!! I’m gonna keep my mouth shut regarding the looks…
Looks good in the front but a bit ugly in the back. Pretty much the opposite of the girls I usually go out with…
Hmmmm. Definitely not what I was expecting. I was expecting something more sophisticated than the 812 but they went cleaner and simpler. Hmmm. Not sure. The Daytona nod wasn't necessary and because it's been badly copied so much it make this look like the copies. The rear is clearly designed for the spyder's beauty, not the coupe's. Hmmm. I actually like the interior mini screen. With all that being said, the more images, vids and angles I see, the more it seduces. lol
What the heck is that design and name? I feel this is a car Ferrari designed just to punk their customers… “let’s build a disaster of a car and laugh at everyone who will buy one just because”. Was really excited about this car, but that’s just a great disappointment. Car will likely sell out because it seems to me this car means the same for their V12 as the F8 was to their V8, a tribute that draws inspiration from various versions before it. The F8 is beautiful, this is a disappointment, still going to hold off on the car until Schmee150 let's us know his thoughts on the car.
I think it's nice. I don't like the horrible stock wheels, and the greyish stuff too much. i think make it all the body colour and we have a good deal
Agree, the 812 had it's detractors but it blended classic and more modern. This new car would honestly perhaps be better fitted into the Icona range in terms of design.
I see Daytona IMO the name of the car has to be pronounced in Italian just like the Purosangue. If it isnt it just sounds funny and abnormal. Doh-dichee chill-indree ( 12 cylinders )
Image Unavailable, Please Login the two tone cockpit and rear hatch seem out of place although i do see what they were trying to create an illusion of an open air cockpit. F12 still shines brighter to me.
