The 612 is simply amazing...even when its 30degC, sunny and the AC in not working. My son Cameron and I left Paris at 10am and headed to the American Cemetery - Luxembourg to visit the grave of my great uncle Malcolm "Guy" Brooks. After an hour there, it was off to the Nürburgring to hit the 17:30-19:30 window for "tourist drives", where we hustled the 612 around the track a few times before turning around and heading home. That 1200 kms can go by so easily in comfort and style but when pushed on the track she is a beast (at least to me) gives a sense of the genius of this car. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I couldn’t agree more. I have just returned from a 6 day trip, Somerset to Alicante via the scenic route and the car has been on point throughout. I don’t think I could have done it without the aircon.
I've done it many times, including a trip about a month ago-- 2600 (about 4200 kms) miles over a week, with several days off in the middle Superb grand tourer!
Mine has about 35,000. I didn't drive it enough in the early years-- too many distractions with family, work, etc. Now it's easy to take off in it for a few weeks.

Wow…indeed what are the odds? I used to have a Maserati too before buying the Ferrari. I notice a Citroen Mehari in the garage. That’s rare!
As you family and yourself live in Paris, please stay safe. I guess the 612 is in a garage (safe from the ungrateful rioters).
Bill, hope all is well in Paris! My wife and I wanted to go to Paris and the Riviera next month but we postponed the trip.
Other than the 612 being at the dealer for the past 2 weeks for work on the AC, I can't complain. We had a great visit with the both my older sons and Adam, which is what matters most. I would un-postpone your trip. It looked much worse on TV (as usual). The weather has been sublime this summer and Paris is absolutely packed with tourists, which depending on your point of view is either a good or bad thing. Let me know when you are coming and we will see if we can organize a spin in the 612. Bill
Thank you Bill for the update. Glad that your family and yourself are fine! Surprised that Paris is still packed with tourists, what we see on TV here only shows battles and destruction in various parts of France. My wife and I had 100% refundable tickets, therefore we already canceled the trip. It was planned for August when half of Paris is gone (vacation). Then our family living in France decided to come see us in South Florida instead. I guess the next trip to France will now be next year. Should you come to Miami, please let us know.
You might want to choose better news sources. The ones you're watching now seem like they're just trying to make you afraid and angry.
CNN, FOX and France Info/24, the only French news channel (owned by the government) that I can watch live in South Florida (I speak several languages fluently, including French). They only showed and talked about destructions, …, not about how the economy is doing. Today I had access to serious and highly reputable French newspapers (Le Monde + Le Figaro) and they had articles confirming that tourism in 2023 (France is the most visited country on Earth by the way) will even be better than 2022 (very few cancellations, flights to Paris and Nice are still packed, hotels are happy, …). It would be nice to hear that from U.S. channels and others too.
