I agree. Just broken in. Ferrari's rot if they are not driven often. That is why I bought a car with 78k miles on it. Still over 170 comp on each cylinder.
I think this myth was debunked in the 'high mileage' thread. http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116399 Congrats to Tillman!, but there are plenty of 20K-mile 328s that drive great, make good compression, etc.
so when did the 2seaters start reading into the 100k mark? my '81 mondi reads 082226 right now, so when it hits the 100k it'll show!
Mine's an 87. For some reason, the 328s are 5 digits And per my own words: 250+ miles today. It's due for a major and some cosmetic freshening, but it's still a ton of fun. 100,000 by the end of summer -- you can count on it!
There is NO DOUBT that your car is sitting in the garage SMILING as this is typed! 250 miles, that is awesome!!! JIM
Egads! Almost time to pop the bubbly! That's fantastic and instills me with hope for my own future mileage! (Do people still use "egads" anymore?) Hmmm....
I use "egads" all the time! I had to start using it again when my daughter started talking and imitating my language. "Holy sh*t!" is not a good thing to hear from a toddler. Now that she is almost 4 and talks a mile a minute, it would even be worse. My wife even made me stop saying "What the?" because my daughter started saying it. I don't know what's wrong with "what the?" unless you put "hell?" on the end! Anyway, EGADS!
Come on, Bird, get it right. The correct expression is "What the f**k!" If you're going to teach your daughter expressions, teach them correctly. ;-) Congrats, Tillman!! We want the picture of the momentus event when your car is reborn. 'Let's roll the video tape..."
hahahahahahhaah, oh man that's too funny! my 4yr old son at about 3 started in with the "what the..." got it from me and it's scary to hear yourself from your kids and realize that what you thought was okay is odd coming from a toddler. now he just makes up words and every now and then gets some that sound real close to the real thing! ahhh kids. now back to programing... you should throw out an add for a 'low mile' 2tenths delivery miles for 200K
Had a fun run today with a small group of local folk. Lotus, Audi, Evo, Aston and Ferraris. Good roads, good times, good food, and a rolled odo. Here's to the next 100,000! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Tillman, you should've set the trip odo back to 000 also, then you'd have the speedo like new! Sorry I missed the drive. Not real sorry, but kinda sorry.
