Happy holidays everyone and welcome to the new year!

I took this video of the last drive I made this season - from my house to Dave Burnham Citroen. It's edited down to 15 minutes (or 14:45 for perfectionists).

Hope you enjoy this while the winter covers us in snow. Something to keep warm with while waiting and planning trips for the coming season!

    Best,

Great video. Very nice countryside and roads, even in early winter. Must be beautiful during the rest of the year.

That V8 engine sounds so leasurely and unstressed: At what rpm do would usually change gears?

    Takk Gabriel, og Godt Nyttår!
Yes, it's definitely a beautiful area and more so when it's green and summer! I'm looking forward to spring.

I haven't monitored the rpm at which I'm shifting, I do it "by ear". I'll pay attention to it in the future.

I think the video shows that my shift-point rpms vary - I shift at higher rpms the harder I want to accelerate. Any recommendations are welcome!

In the big picture, I expect to develop the right "ear" for shifting as I drive the car more. ALSO, the video represents only the second time I am driving these roads.... THAT makes a big difference too. Knowing the lay of the curves, to predict the necessary power to apply, etc.

Off topic: I'll be in Hallingdal, Norway this coming week for some skiing. The forecast looks reasonable. I'm looking forward to the drive from OSL, past Hønefoss and up Rute 7 along Krøderen and up the valley!

    Cheers!

    Hi Art,
Sounds great. Snow conditions are quite good in Hallingdal according to this site: http://www.skihallingdal.info/html/skifore.html.

    BTW: PM sent.

    Cheers,
    Gabriel
