    Dear Lamborghinisiti,

I just went back to my Georgia home from my Florida home. It's 8 hours one way. I took the Diablo roadster. Wow, what a car. It is the most comfortable and smoothest car I've ever driven....even besting my 91 Testarossa. On the interstate, it's just glued to the road.....no bouncing off the ruts and no pulling on the steering wheel. I was expecting alot of wind noise with the roaster roof but nothing....yeah, an Italian design that actually works. :)

The sound of the engine was just wonderful, timing chains just zinging along. Many times I had to lower my speed as the car is soooo stable, it would just creep up. Comming on the interstate on-ramp was great fun....redling every gear....warp speed !

Stopping at a gas station ( many many times :) ) was quite the event. I've never received so much attention....and I drive a Testarossa ! Camera phones flashing everywhere, pretty girls asking to pose next to the door (up position ) ....I do like being a batchelor ! At one busy gas stn, when I opened the door, I could actually hear a collective ohhhh.

On this trip alone, I put about 2000 miles on the car. I took delivery from Roy on July 8th, since then I've put a total of 3100 miles. ( daily driver )

To those who don't drive their cars for fear of resale value....THE JOKE IS ON YOU !!!........You're missing out !! I still have a big smile on my face as I'm writing this post.

Get out and enjoy your Lamborghini !

Glad you like the car...it is a beauty!!

NOW go put another 3K on it next month....thats what they are for!!

I have no idea why ONLY in the USA every one worries about re-sale miles, it is a planned event that I have no idea where it started, but has been around LONG enough...the bucks you "supposedly" loose on adding miles to your exotic are better spent "driving" the car and enjoying or such short lives in this world. I can not remember the last time someone bought a new car, saved the miles AND turned around and go tmore money then they paid for it?? If you want an investment to make money....but something OTHER than a car. IMO

And I am now off to put a few hundred on my GT!

Glad to hear you're using it like it should be used! It kinda irks me when I hear people who own beautiful, exotic cars fret over miles and resale value. Why did they buy it in the first place?! I say get in there and drive the hell out of it! Life's too short to be whinging about mileage. Find a good road and have some fun.

P.S. A pic of your Diablo to go along with the road story would be enjoyed by all I'm sure!

Good for you! I drove my 1999 Roadster about 400 miles Friday and the last 60 or so were in the rain (not by choice, but oh well)....and the wiper actually works pretty well :)

This is also a true TESTAMENT that Diablo is one of the most reliable SUPER EXOTIC CARS you can own......I would never have had the courage to attempt this feat in my 92 512TR (based on my ownership experience only and not reflective of others). At the same time, I wouldn't hesitate to drive one of my Diablo from coast to coast....and back.

    I have several times...

    1) My 2003 Murcie from Seattle to Daytona Florida AND back to see the Dayton 500...2005

    2) My 2001 6.0 From Seattle, to LA, to Denver and back...1/2 the country ha ha

Weird this comes up, I was planning this year late fall to leave Seattle about October 1st in my LP640, hit ALL 50 States and stop in at every Lambo Dealer, ending up in Miami for a Ship Cruise I have scheduled for Thanksgiving....then ship the car back...from what I have been planning so far its about 6500 miles total, will take my time and do it in the 5 weeks or so. I really want to get a pic of the car at EVERY Lambo Delaer and at every State "welcome you entering" sign LOL LOL

    Hey y'all,

Thanks for the positive feedback. I just wanted to share!

About the miles, yes there was alot of driving once I got there. I live in Lake Oconee which is about 1 1/2 hrs one way to buckhead ( Atlanta ) so...do that a few times, it adds up. Also, in Georgia, distances are really great between places. The restaraunt strip is 18 miles from my house one way. :) ....batchelor....can't cook :0
