    One thing I should mention regarding the repro wheels; get the center caps from Ferrari. The repro ones aren't the right shade of yellow and on our trip to Miami this past march one of the center cap decals flew off on the freeway. When we got to Miami I had Dennis McCann overnight a set of four OE ones to Tim Stanford's shop as .my car was scheduled in there for an A/C service. $24/each from McCann for the caps versus $125/each from Shelton Ferrari in Lauderdale!!!

    Cheers;

    Yo Aaron,
    Dennis has them for $100 a set? SHEEEET! That is CHEEEP! I'll order a new set!

    I agree with Aaron, the caps that come with the repro wheels are garbage. I lost two in the first 24 hours. And they don't look right anyway. Fortunately, the wheel is designed to accept the standard Ferrari issue caps, so I just transferred mine over from my 14" wheels.

    I bookmarked that thread, Birdman, and read it again this year before I bought the wheels. And as you pictured, those "ears" have to be ground off before you install the rings.

    I'll have to go back and look at the thread since I haven't the slightest clue what "ears" you are talking about!

    Maybe "tabs" is a better description. Anyway, they were here:

    Guys,

    Right or wrong (and only her hairdresser knows for sure :) ), I did not mount and do a test drive without the rings first, I just installed them straight away. Nor did I grind anything off of my centering rings. Just put them on when I changed from the MM rims to the Superformance REPOs. Noticeable improvement in drive-ability (cornering) immediately.

    A tad expensive (anything over $5 is expensive and I'm a cheap AS*), but I believe a great product and will save $ in the long run. I do not track my car and most of my driving is on winding roads at less than 80 mph. I don't go fast, I just do not take my foot off the gas. So far; "excellent product" is all I can say.

    V/r,

    Jonathan,

    Well, this was back in March, so I can't say if they'll be the same price 8 months on, but do give him a try!
