So after reading through some posts, it seems like the consensus is to run 16" wheels so it's possible to fit a better tire on the car.

I have the original 14" and I'm pretty sure I need to buy tires since most of the sidewalls are cracked.

So I was set in my mind to get the Superformance 16" wheels (can't afford the real ones) but then I read that some people prefer the 14" wheels?

So I'm trying to just get an idea of what people think at this point... go for the new wheels for better tires, or stick with the 14" which have to be refurbished and also get new tires.

My car originally had the 14's"

I have the SF 16's" on it now. I am very happy with them.

IMO, get the 16's and put the 14's away. The 14's are worth about ZIP when even in Good Condition, but don't part with them as they are OEM to your car.

The 14's can be a bear to get your hands on as they are made in very short runs and no one can tell you when the next run will be. It could be in two months or in 2 years. I heard they were unavailable for a stretch of like 5÷ years, years ago, but that might be an old wives tale.

Finally, the price of 4-5 new 14's" is eye-watering and will probably pay for the repo SF 16" Rims with a few bucks left over.

    Good Luck.
