I was feeling all pleased with myself a while back having bought a pair of genuine CF 16M Scuderia airbox covers for a bargain price. What I hadn't appreciated is that the connections to the airflow sensors etc is a different larger diameter and that the fixing bolts are offset so that you cant simply swap them over with the standard F430 airboxes.

Does anyone know whether it is possible to simply buy the 16M rubber connector and airflow housing pieces to connect to the standard throttle housings? I presume the throttle housings are only one diameter (hmmm assumptions!) and/or does this then have a knock-on effect on screwing up the metering etc etc....

I'm sure there's a lesson here somewhere; you know, the "if it aint broke....." one!

    Any pointers gratefully received....

You will need the larger MAF's and rubber hose (between the MAF and throttle bodies) off the Scud/16M. The throttle bodies are the same part number for stock 430 and Scud/16M (179912).

You'd need to scope the signal from the MAF's on a stock 430 and a scud/16M across a range of RPM's to see if they give the same output. If they do then all good - it should be a straight swap.

If you don't want to try and make it work I'm always up for a challenge and would be happy to take the air boxes off you.
