Does anybody know if there is a switch on the lights to do this (like Porsche), or must I buy new light units?

    Thanks for any help!

(wondering also about 599 gto but nobody seems to know on the other forum)

    Nobody know anything?

    New 16M headlights gbp 9700.

Oh, and new dash with mph gbp 4500 give or take.

    How nice.

Can't help with an answer on how easy it is to switch lights from LHD to RHD but I do know you're a long way out on price. I was quoted £3500 from F car dealer for a set of carbon lights as an upgrade for my 430 coupe last year.

Speedo has both KPH and MPH as standard, I realise the KPH is larger but is this too much of an issue?

Russell, which dealer was this please? I was quoted 9700 for the 16m lights with carbon, the pair, by HR Owen.

Also, my speedo is km only

I would ask Eman or RHD, anything regarding the 16m and anything else for that matter, they would know.

Hi Andrew, just been through my emails, Dick Lovett quoted me £3585 + vat inc. fitting - it was a while ago but can't believe the price has gone up much. Sorry to mislead on the speedo, mine has both so assumed that LHD cars would also have both.

Update: the 430 scud coupe carbon lights don't fit/work with the 16m, that's what the dealer says the factory told them. So gbp 8k (reduced price from the dealer) vs 4k. Great business.

Andrew, I have just spoken to my dealer and yes you are correct, 16M headlights are different from Scud - wow, never would have guessed - sorry to mislead. Ouch, price is OTT based on low volume I assume!
    PM sent.

Are you reregistering cars or just being polite ?

If the former it gets more complex but if its just for IVA (or whatever its called) mph could be a temporary transfer and lights borrowed from a friendly dealer/owner - the next time limit would then be MOT time (@ 36 months) but noting above you'll either have returned or sold cars by then

If you're being polite realisatically how often will you be out at night on small roads blinding people and if you really need an mph speedo use a sat-nav

I'm reregistering both the 16M and GTO. Not sure exactly how long I will be in the UK.

I've owned them for > 6 months so no duty/vat but all the costs involved in bringing them back are silly. Good job I love the cars and the specs.

Switzerland's loss is our gain, a GTO and a 16M, great combo. Love to see some pictures!
