Hey, I'm new to the boards and a Ferrari fanatic. Recently, picked up a Jag XK8 for the last two years of college, hopefully going to upgrade in a few years to a 575 (fingers crossed :-D). Anyway, I heard through a friend that a 17-19 year old in PA named Drew owns an F50. He will be attending Quinnipiac University in the fall. most likely, this is not true or someone boasting his father's car. Just curious what the truth is to this, as it seems this is all the individual talks about. (A family friend is attending the University this fall) I look forward to contributing to the forums, and maybe one day meeting up with some members who live in Florida. Grr, I just moved from Northern Jersey, about 15 minutes from Ferrari NA. Best surprise was summer of 03, when I drove next to an enzo for a few miles. WOW, what a car. Florida may nothave the Ferrari of NA headquarters, but it sure as hell, has its fair share of Ferraris. (Sadly, it also has too many "ricers"). If I can be of help with anything, please let me know

    Thank You,
    Jay

    Welcome,

I've actually had a wild ride in the Enzo. It was red and driven hard and fast. Fish-tails and 180's. Yeah life is good and crazy in Cali but how could it better anywhere else.

Enjoy FChat it's a terrific community.

    Good Luck with your studies.

    Brigitte

i've never heard this before. Do you have any more info on "Drew". I know Algar had an F50 for sale before and sold it (different car to the one that got stolen i think).

I do find it hard to believe though

Thank you Brigette :) Wow, seeing an enzo is awesome, but taking a ride is another step. K5, I can try and get a last name of the individual. Maybe there is a registry that is viewable, like there is for the enzo?

I dunno, but with my boys, if they go around telling people that MY cars are their cars, I'll smack 'em in da head!

I guess I'm just possessive, but I also don't want my sons to look silly trying to pull that off.

If the 17-19 year old got the car himself, that would be something to talk about!
Who cares if his dad gave it to him. Thats just stupid!

Welcome to the community, you should have a good time here. I try not to be on here so much, but i just cant help it! Good luck on the 575, and finding the truth to the rumors of that kid driving his dad's F50.

I think he means it's stupid to care. That's the way I read it.

Wasn't an F50 stolen from a dealership in PA?
    Could this be it?

Yes, on 9/16/03, ZFFTG46AXS0103494 was stolen from Algar... Still, i doubt this car is even in the country, let alone in the hands of a young man...
