Hey Brent, I am planning on installing the same set up as you have with the wheels and new shock/springs. Curious as to how you set the ride height properly on all 4 corners? Also did you get QA1 springs and if so what spring rate. I have read Dave's article and have the numbers written down for the Eibach springs but he said that they are little stiffer than stock for track purposes. Just curious what route you went? Thanks Bill
Bill, I used pictures from Dave Jones treads as an initial starting point . Also took some measurements from Henry Chin's front shocks. The reality is that I ended up going alittle to low at first and adjusting up until I could get up my driveway without scraping. The QA1 front springs were 10" 300 lb and the rears were 12" 250 lb. I have the adjustment knob set at 4 out of 12 on all the shocks.
Thanks Brent! So you got the adjustable rebound shocks? Are the spring rates the same as stock(clueless here)? How did you measure the adjustment from corner to corner? It sounds like you just eyed it and then set the shocks accordingly. Did you measure the shock body to set the spring on each shock, meassure body height? I may be way over thinking this thing and just am trying to clarify some things. This may be way easier than I am making it out to be. Something that I have yet to run into since working on this car. LOL Thanks again Bill
Bill, I left you a more detailed answer in the showroom forum under lowered 308. Let me know if that explaination helps. Brent
I have a 308 here and TUEV Germany approved the following wheels: Front: Speedline SL619.021 235/40R17 8"x17" Rear: Speedline SL614.023 245/40R17 9"x17" Unsure if there are larger wheels that can be made to fit?
