Damn, this sounds like so much fun! Are you sure you can't arrange your route to pass through MA?

Just talk to your boss, if anyone will understand, he will. If he doesn't, he should leave the board! :)

What's the weather forecast along the way???

Here in Philly, it should just start to rain as you land! What a shock.

Hope the car is nice and watertight.

Does it have A/C that works? If not, I'll add dry ice to your goody bag.

    See you tomorrow!!!

Hey this is exciting...and the same Mondi as me. Good luck. Just stay calm if (when?) something breaks. The Mondial is one of the most comfortable f car cruisers out there. Also, though the 8 is admittedly slow to get to 60 mph or so, once underway it can cruise at triple digits without breaking a sweat, so watch the speed!
Have fun, take pics, and keep us posted.

Do you mean the rain will start when we land in Jersey tonight, or do you mean when we get to PA tomorrow?

Some chance of rain along the whole route, last time I checked. Temps in the 80's to 90's.

A/C is an unknown variable, last I heard. Not counting on it being functional.

Off to the airport in a couple of hours!

We just woke up... I am calling the owner in about an hour. We will meet about 8ish. Looks like we might hit bad weather in PA so we will try to leave as early as possible.

Dunno, I know they sealed the deal and went by the DMV. I guess the next people to see them will be the guys in PA.

Updating on the fly again. In the car just leaving Algar. Mark worked his magic and it's shifting like butter. Had lunch with Dave M Noah Patrick and Vang. Thanks for keeping us company while the Mondial was under the knife. DM seriously went above and beyond. Thanks Dave!

So does that count as '1' or does it get a pass given that it's a pre-existing condition? Jury?

    How's the trip/car so far?

IMHO it should only count if it stoped the car, this sounds like it just made changing gear difficult......still time to get a sweepstake going...everybody chip in $5 choosing a number of breakdowns with cause as a tie breaker?

Manny says it doesn't count. I agree with him. It absolutely didn't slow us down and we could have continued without the repair but makes things a lot easier. Repair took less than 1 labor hour. Otherwise the car is as represented by the seller.

    Manny and Dave.

I gotta tell you, in person, you're not nearly the *******s I thought you'd be! (********= donkey orifice in slang)

    Seriously, these are great guys.

I think the car is a fair deal for the money. Not a steal, but not a rip-off either.

They are southbound as we speak, I'll post a picture shortly.

Without A/C, they are gonna be a couple of hot tired fchatters when they land tonight!!

But, so far, even with the repair, they are on (maybe a little ahead) of schedule.

    YO FD.

That door handle is gonna cost you big.

He just about yanked my Dino handle off the door. It's fixable, but it's gonna cost you at some point. :D

FD on the right, striking what may become a familiar pose before they make TX.

l-r. PAT, MANNY, NOAH, DAN, DAVE

Trunk open, looking for something, (the jack, a wrench, oil of coolant) to get them the rest of the way home.

Crap, forgot the can of fix-a-flat!!!
