    Bonjour,

    A bientôt
    Pierre

Beautiful and very nice first post. Welcome! I hope that you have many happy miles and smiles as you bring that car back to life.

I agree with Ulf, the front part of the exhaust system is hanging very low and perhaps you will be able to have it adjusted so that you have a little more ground clearance.

Also, for the "what mirrors were on these cars" aficionados, please note the photo of the right side with the rectangular black mirror. I don't know if it is original since passenger side mirrors weren't ubiquitous then as they are today, but it probably mirrors (pun intended) the driver's side even if it was added later.

Amazing how much better these cars look without the US spec DOT side marker lights. A lovely color too.

Bravo Pierre, belle voiture et surtout avec transmission manuelle. Une photo de la carburation serait bien. Qu'est-il arrivé a 18359?

Congrats Pierre, nice car especially with the manual transmission. A picture of the carbs would be nice. What happened to 18359?

I wasn't aware of that, I'm no expert at all and learn every day. Thanks for the info.

BTW Pierre thanks for the engine pics. I always liked those side draft carbs on a V12.

No problem,it was only after much debating, mainly with Enzo, that he sanctioned putting an auto into a Ferrari....and only then ,to appease the American market.
365's weren't imported in the 'State's(I think I'm correct...happy to be proven otherwise),and then there was the smog and safety stuff that came afterwards in the 400's

You are spot on in that none of the 365 GT4 2+2s were available with automatic transmissions. Additionally, none of that era's 2+2s were built for the US market; the 365 GT 2+2, the 400, the 400i, the 412 - these were all made for European and RHD markets. If Americans wanted one, they needed to buy it used from overseas, and commission a conversion upon arrival. The same holds true for all Boxer variants, and the GTO.
