    Who: Open Invite
    What: Texas Mile www.texasmile.com
    When: March 29th and 30th
Where: Goliad Texas ( Think waaaayy South )
ETC: Just how fast will your car go from a standing start in 1 mile? I know what a 2000 ZX-12R , Audi A6 4.2, and a few others will do.. what will your car do? Lets go find out!

My suggestion will be to leave DFW Friday. Spend the night in Beesville or Goliad, group dinner. Saturday head out to the track for the day. Saturday night, another group dinner. Sunday, go back out for the morning runs... pack up and head back around Noon.

These are my suggestions only , open for discussion and flexible so that we get the most people to show!

I'd like to make a challenge of this... Ferrari vs Porsche vs Lamborghini vs Audi vs BMW vs MB vs VW vs ???? So tell your friends and lets get a group to go. I will be there, I have made all but 1 event since it started , its fun to watch all the different cars, trucks, bikes, exotics, and land speed racers make the run, but even more fun to do it yourself! I will be more than happy to coach anyone interested and even have the vehicle inspection done for your here at Park Place if needed.

Man, just typing this out , I am excited to see what comes out this year!

    More to follow....

    Steve

I'm looking forward to this event. I've been on a couple Sundays, but will need to make it on Saturday this time to see some extra action.

I have a client wanting to go with his 430, but has requested to trailer it down. Anyone have an open spot on/in a trailer or have a suggestion? He is willing to split the cost or fuel, etc.

    GOOD!

We were the ONLY Ferrari in a SEA of Pcars, Ford GTs and Corvettes! LOL!

I could have used a little moral support, ya know????

There was one real nice Pantera there, running open headers and megaphone tips...nice car!

I never did receive a single picture of my car, from anyone...kind of disappointed about that.....

It's too bad that I came out on Sunday last time and missed seeing you run. I should be at this upcoming event on Saturday and will get a flood of pictures for you. You should be out then, right?

So I am still The World's Fastest Art Car, that moves, anyway....

Just be there! Maybe bring one of your GT's over to see what a living room on wheels can do in a mile!

LMK if you need a room

Just got in from Goliad. I will type a short review tomorrow , but...

We saw a certain Busa above run over 240mph !!!!
    Red F-Car over 140mph
    Black CGT run over 170
    Jet car 324.9

Pretty much everyone on my list backed out last minute due to the " rain " , but even after the long drive there and back, it was worth it to see the cars that DID make the drive and run!

We left early today, so the above speeds may be less than actual run ...

    more to follow!

    Steve

    pixs as well

Hey I was there all day yesterday.:D What were you running in?

Am I missing something? Red F-car? Jet car?!!!! And I thought the jet bike took off incredibly fast, but running 324.9 must be a new record of some sort! I saw the Black CGT run 185 on Saturday. I'm wondering if this 'certain' Hayabusa broke last years 242mph run. I'll be on the look out for more updates.

I think the 257 on the event hats, is the previous top speed......

    That's a beautiful video........a nice tribute.

    *tear falls*

I lost too many friends in 2007 myself, it's been pretty hard to carry on.

    :D

Do you have the link to the scoring??

The Art Car Cadillac challenging me from St. Louis MO was trying to make it and felt they had 150MPH in it.....

My Ferrari has an oil leak since the last run, and with Lady Valeria's orders to move I haven't had time to look at it!

Thank you. Andrew Black has been at the Texas Mile since day one. He passed in his sleep the Sunday after the event last year. His 'partner in crime' was back this year to run their truck again...It was good to see the spirit of the mile alive in everyone this year =)
You should come out for the October Mile...
