hey all, I'm about 95% finished with this model so thought I'd post it. Its a Pocher 1907 Fiat f-2 and in terms of a model kit - terrible production values but it was fun to modify and upgrade... these are quick pics I still have to finish making the chain drive and couple part of the rear suspension... but thoght it came out ok... I want to mount this on a raised plinth ... kinda like the old Gordon Bennet trophy's....

    yes- real authentic balsa!!!

I just used a wash of thiner and brown and red paint... and scored the wood to bring out the grain.

also a pair of my wifes italian leather gloves paid the price for the seats! I covered the backof the seats with "baise" or kind of a seude -alcantara material.

wrapped the sterring wheel with silk thread - very fine - so it had the cord effect ... i based it on photos from one sitting in the Turin motor museum.
