    I have available an original Summer 1953? (not clearly dated so possibly 1952) Speedways Magazine - FIRST ISSUE. Includes may interesting articles, including pieces on Ferrari ("The Black Horse of Modena"), Bonneville Land Speed Records, the Indianapolis 500, Gas Turbine Engines, "The Sportscar Hoax" discussing concept American Sportscars (Corvette, Kaiser Darrin, Olds Starfire, Packard Caribbean, Cadillac LeMans, etc), Stock Car Racing and more. Also includes a gallery of profiles of racing legends, including Alberto Ascari, Tim Flock, Ted Horn, Troy Ruttman, Wilbur Shaw, Chuck Stevenson and Bill Vukovich. Very rare and interesting item for the racing enthusiast!

    This magazine has 81 pages and measures 8 1/2" by 11".

    Condition: This item is in good to excellent condition for its age overall with a small tear on the lower right edge and a small pencil notation and date stamp (May 15 1953) on the rear cover. Likely one of the nicest examples in existence.
