This car is fresh out of restoration. It is a numbers matching Arnolt-Bristol that was shipped to New York, and arrived at the Arnolt Company ware house in Chicago in 1954. Documents prove that this and the other two "1958" cars sold by Manhattan Motors were actually imported into the US in 1954. It is believed that this is one of three "1958" cars that were mildly damaged in one of three fires that occurred in Chicago. They were refurbished and repainted, and then sold as new in 1958. This car is titled as a 1954 car and is eligible for inclusion in the Mille Miglia.

Driven by Carl Grassman in the early 50's the car raced at Hourglass Field, Palm Springs and Ascot.

The car can boast continuous ownership history and a period race history from the 50's.

Car has the original tool kit and jack. Restoration pictures and complete file, dyno, power chart
and the build sheet from Stanton Motor Sports who rebuilt the engine, accompany the car.

E-mail for more pictures and more information.

Asking $440,000.00 or 295,000.00 sterling. Car is in the UK

I saw one of these for the first time earlier this year and pictures do these cars no justice. A very beautiful car indeed.

This is a beautiful car and the pictures on the forum certainly don't do this particular car justice. I think they might be too big and appear to be grainy.

There were only 142 Arnolt-Bristol’s produced. It is estimated that about 82 still survive. A team of three factory cars entered the 1955 Sebring 12 Hours, finishing first, second and fourth in class to win the team trophy.

They are eligible for all of the historic races including the Mille Miglia (they are under 2 litre grand touring cars).

And oddly enough they are a very comfortable ride for big guys. I know a few guys over six feet that have successfully raced A-B's. One such racer had four of them over the course of his racing career.

Here is some interesting background info on Arnolt-Bristols.

They were designed by an American, Stanley Arnolt, built on a Bristol 404 chassis with the Bristol BS1 MK II engine, and had bodies designed by Franco Scaglione of Bertone, Turin Italy. Each body was hand formed from steel with an aluminum hood and deck lid.
