It feels like more than 30 years of engineering evolution took place between these two cars but that is almost exactly the space in between the build dates. On the left is a 1955 Lancia Aurelia B20 GT, a series 4 car which has the full Nardi conversion (carbs, hood scoop and floor shift) and on the right is a later car from the same country with a slightly larger displacement.

It is something to ponder. Steves' old DD... looks good. Did you buy it?

Very neat...There's several Lancia models on my 'must drive' list. Care to make any driving comparisons?

Like a 77 Lancia Stratos, perhaps?

I wish FIAT would build great Lancias and Alfas and bring them to the US!

Boy, that is a great car! I have awesome memories of that car from around 2000 to 2002 while Steve Lefferts owned it and stored it in my warehouse in the bay area. We would go on some really exciting drives on some of the world's best roads in northern CA. I have a lot of good memories, pics, and video of that car in action! Please be as good a caretaker of her as Steve was! Congrats on buying a great car! I still have part of the front fender and some other parts from a minor mishap Steve had with the car that was fixed to better-than-factory condition. The fender is automotive art that brings back great memories.....

Thanks for the kind words - the QV DD is my first Countach and has exceeded my expectations. The car is currently in North Carolina but will be back in Northern California before long. Looking forward to driving it on those roads.
