Was meandering through PistonHeads this evening and came across this lovely advert: ""Number 9 of the original 'Works' supported Series Two Cars Ex-Ivor Bueb, Patt Massy-Dawson, Brian Gubby, Eugene "Woody" Woodruff, Rev. Tom Luce (Team Celtic), Jack Artley and Mike Wilson. Continuous race history from new and complete with four massive files of photographs, receipts etc. and including it's original (buff) log book and chassis plate. This car has only changed hands once in 35 years and has a full HTP (Historic Technical Passport) so ready to race. "" http://classifieds.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/lotus/classics/1957-series-two-lotus-eleven-lemans--309/646572 What is the reference to the original 'Works' cars? Were these actual racers or just a recreation? Looks smooth either way! Michael
always great looking little racers ...one would want to authenticate it before buying, many very accurate replicas were made of this over the years (westfield too IIRC?)
