I'm reminded of Jay Leno's go-to for cars that show up on his youtube channel equipped thusly.... "Because the air was a lot cleaner in the 50s and 60s". Great car, congrats on the sale and congrats to the new owner who will doubtless enjoy the living hell out of that great machine.
