I have a 1959 190 SL but need a new battery....is there a specific battery I need to get or is a "normal" battery from Sears acceptable? Many thanks

Looking through some of my old books and magazines, I see that the original battery in the 190SL was a Bosch, 12 Volt, 56 Ampere Hour. Looks like a typical "tar top" style. Any modern battery that fits in the space and matches the terminal location should work fine, but if you want the "original" look, I think there is a place that advertises in Hemmings that can sell you a tar top battery, and you might even be able to get a Bosch repro.
