    Hi Ferrari owners,

i do have a 1959 Ferrari 250 GT PF coupe series 2 (with disc brakes) My car came out of the factory with no mirrors, no side mirror or mirrors.

Looking at pictures of existing Ferrari 250 GT PF coupe of that time period i see a lot of them with NO mirror(s)

On my car there are no holes for a mirror but it will be repainted in the original color soon. Mirror(s) are a nice feature but what is wise?

Should i ad at least the oudside mirror on the lefthand side?
If so what mirror should i buy, i see two types on 250 GT PF cars?

Looking forward for any answers or suggestions on this topic

    regards
    Antonio

Where are you? Do you have any state or national laws on this?

Radios and mirrors were dealer installed options on vintage Ferraris. As long as they are period correct, there won’t be problems with FCA scoring if you want to do a concourse.

I live in Europe, the Netherlands and there are no specific ruls that tells me to install one or two mirrors on a classic car. My car came in 1959 with no mirrors but like my 1965 Corvette, who came with a leftside mirror a (second) mirror came in handy on 'daily' use

I see a lot of early Ferrari's with no mirror(s) like mine, but i think installing a time correct mirror or two (left and right) might now be the right time since the car will be painted soon.

OKAY so if i would do a concourse the judges do not mind if there is a mirror on a 250 GT PF coupe Thanks

Rules for that are different everywhere you go but in the US at Cavallino Classic and at Ferrari Club of America national events we allow period correct mirrors.
