    Hi folks. This is my first post to this site. I own a restoration shop in Auburn, WA. We specialize in classic Alfa Romeo's. We have them shipped to us from all across the country. But recently we received a car that has limited resources for parts. It's a 1959 Lancia Flaminia Zagato. We will be build the car to Concourse quality. The owners intent is to display at Pebble Beach in 2007 and I'm sure a few other west coast concourses. With that said, I need to resource some parts. I've found a few sites for parts but none have items or are limited in items for this car. Does anybody know of a source?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hi, Daron;

    Wow, a Flaminia Zagato, right here in Auburn! I live in Milton, right up the hill from you, and I used to be quite the Lancia nut. I had a Flaminia Touring Coupe for many years, it's the car featured in this month's issue of "Hemmings Classic Cars", and I had an Appia Zagato and a Flavia Zagato. I have a copy of the Flaminia Workshop Manual, and a copy of the Flaminia Spare Parts book, and lots and lots of other books, club magazines, articles, old brochures, etc., etc. I'd love to have a look at the car in your shop and talk with you about it. I know a few parts sources, depends on what you need.

    Happy Thanksgiving, I'm sure we will be in touch.

    Hi Jeff. We will be moving into our new shop next week. It's on Pike st. Next to 15th street ext off of 167. Any info you can provide will be great. We will be up and running in early Dec. So feel free to stop by.

    As for a nice example of a Flaminia sport Zagato, well only few hundred were made in its total production run of 5 years (1959-1964). The 59 being the fewist. A good sport series flaminia zagato, runs around 50 to 90k.

    Is this a 2.5 single-carb car (824.00 or 824.03), or a 2.5 three-carb car (824.10 or 824.13), or a 2.8 three-carb car (826.132)? I don't know if any non-faired headlight cars were built as early as 1959, but Flaminia Zagato numbers are indeed a tangled web. Would it be indiscrete to ask the chassis number and basic details on this forum, or should I wait? It's cool.....

    Now that is a good series of questions. It's a 2.5 single carb. I had sourced the cam, carbs, distributor and manifold to make it a triple set-up, but we decided to keep it original. When you come to see it, you can check out the chassis number then. The suspension and drivetrain will be outsourced to local experts to determine what will be needed to make it perfect. Once that is completed, we will be putting it on a rotisserie to complete the sheet metal services needed.

    My chart shows Flaminia Sport 2.5 single carb cars built in 1959 fitting between chassis numbers 1001-1171. Not all of those numbers go to Zagato cars, however. Some of them are Touring cars. Production numbers for 1960 single carb cars were between 1172-1614.

    Can I assume that you are familiar with Martin Cliffe (Omicron Engineering) in England and Mike Kristick in the USA as potential parts sources?

    Mike Kristick has been operating a Lancia parts business out of his home for many years. No website that I know of. He is in Wellsville, Pa. I don't know if this is current, but I show his phone number as (717)292-2962, or (717)764-2528. I'm afraid I don't know if he has email, but I could find out for you if you wish.

    Of course Tom Sheehan passed away many years ago, he had purchased a huge inventory of Flaminia parts, and I think these got scattered to the winds. There are folks out there who know a lot more about the current parts situation than myself.
