I just thought this was funny enough to pass along: a 308 model built in 1963. I guess Burago had incredible forsight! Maybe that's where Pinin got his idea for the classic body style.
I'd give the guy the benefit of the doubt that 1963 refers to some code on the box and is not the year. The auction makes no mention that this is a 1963 year kit merely that it is vintage or old. That kit was probably made in the late 80's so his description seems pretty good.
I have that kit, unbuilt also (who has TIME??? LOL!) I DID build it's blue 'Pioneer Car' counterpart....1/24th scale. It's the 308GTB rally variant obviously, metal bodied and prefinished as far as paint.... That must be a BBurago catalog number...I can check if i can find it....no, it looks like she has the catalog number listed aleady.....she just blew the year. But the model is the real deal, and a good price IMO, BBurago has been gone for years....
I could be mistaken, but looking at the pattern on the seat in the photo on the box, I'd have to say that 308 is at least a 1965, when they switched to injection.
