Looking for a quality vendor to rebuild the Jaeger clock for the 63 Maserati Sebring. Checked with Nisonger in New York. It seems unfortunately, the French & Italian made Jaeger gauges are quite different than the British Jaeger gauges made by Smiths from the ‘50’s – early ‘70’s. Nisonger had no repair parts for them.

    Thanks for any leads...

I am currently having mine rebuilt by D&M Restoration. I cannot tell you if they are any good since they will be working on the clock this week.

I too called around and did not have much luck finding people that can work on these clocks.

    This is D&M's contact info:

Suggest that you speak with Mike Eck, also in NJ: jaguarclock.com. He developed an ingenious fix for early E-type clocks and also does work on others. The "tech info" section on his site gives some perspective on different solutions.

I have used Mike for many Jaguar clocks and he also fixes the Smith clocks as used in the Mistral, Mexico and early Ghibli. I sent him a couple of e-mails to see if he would work on the French Jaeger clock but I did not get a response, perhaps he is on vacation. Mike is very good and someone I would trust if he is willing to work on the Jaeger clock; also very reasonable cost.

I was able to connect with Mike Eck (Jaguar Clock) in Martinsville, NJ...Great guy. Extremely competent. jaguarclock.com

He was able to rebuild my original Jaeger clock perfectly and for a very very reasonable price of $100. Others were not sure they could rebuild it, wanted me to send it in, but quoted $500 more, plus shipping...Mike Eck's quote included the return shipping to me.

I highly recommend him and thank those who gave me his contact info...

I just got my Jaeger clock back from D&M Restoration and it too is now ticking.

Glad to hear that Mike Eck was able to fix yours ... he is super reasonable. Although I dislike listening to radios I sure like the ticking sound of the clock.

Bottom line is there is no excuse to have a non-working clock in your vintage Maserati.

Does anybody have any idea of where you can get a clock for a 1963 Maserati Sebring? - because mine is missing!

    Thank you in advance

    eBay ... of course.

I assume you have a series 1 car with the rectangular Jaeger clock ... correct? Series 2 cars have a round Smith clock.

Yes correct I have Series 1 and are missing the rectangular Jaeger clock. I have looked several times on eBay but never found anything... - but maybe you have a link?

    Cheers

I found one eBay a couple of weeks ago but it was not working, so I decided to fix the clock the car had. Larry Ruben had one for sale, also non-working. This is his e-mail address
