Quick question: is there any unusual procedure in setting the timing to TDC on this model? Need to be able to set the motor to the #1 cylinder. If anyone has photos of the timing marks and the procedure that other members use in setting TDC, that will be very helpful.

    Thanks

Sounds like you could make good use of a service manual. I know it's an old car, but are any available?

The "service manual" for the car provides some specs for the car, but few details on any special procedure needed to set the timing (if any) and where the timing marks are on the motor, how they appear, how it is set, etc...

There are no timing marks. Simply bring #1 cyc up to TDC on the over lap. The more precise the better. Use dial gauges. At this point the rotor should be pointing to #6.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't as clear as I should have been, my question was if there are marks on the harmonic balancer that will let you know that you have reached TDC and what I should look for? Thanks...

No. For some unknown reason the factory did not feel a TDC mark was needed :(
As Frank stated, best to find it yourself and make markings.
