1965 Mustang Full Sanding Job

    This Mustang came to us after it was painted. As you can see in the pictures, there was a lot of dirt to nib out, and several runs all over the car. Most of the runs had to be scraped off using a razor blade, then sanded flat. I used 1000-1500-2000 grit STARKE sand paper using a D.A. then polished out using Menzerna Power Gloss with white wool, Menzerna SIP with orange CCS, and finished with Menzerna 85rd using white CCS. No LSP was applied.

    The car turned out really nice and the paintjob was saved. Sorry I didn't get more after pics. The car was returned to the owner and these were taken a few days afterwards. Thanks for looking.

    Nice save John... and its a good thing too... looks like they used decent paint, it was the chimp applying it that was the problem.
