does anyone know what the concourse correct color the fuel tanks should be? Does aqua green sound right to anyone? I have also seen black and heard of a beige color as well.

    Thanks in advance.

The ones in mine were black but don't know if that was original.

I have seen plain unpainted fiberglass, aqua green, and black. I have also seen what looks like a rectangle piece of jute material under the bands which I believe should be blued. I would be curious to know what Ferrari "Classiche" has to say about these details. Because your shop is a certification station, can Ferrari in Italy help with this?

If that was the day they ran out of Black, Aqua Green.

general concensus is that the majority of them were black so that what we are going with.

Would you know what the orignal color carpeting color was for the fuel tanks? When our car came in it had a grey w/ black and white specs in it. But I heard that it should be black square weave?

Thanks for the input in advance.

The carpet in your photo appears to be the original carpet, especially if the GTB is a long-nose (which I assume is the case if you are dealing with the split fuel tanks). Recent comparison of known original trunk carpet from several late long-nose cars reveals the exact same carpet - a salt and pepper gray color, square weave, with a loose and fibrous texture. Perhaps the black small pattern square weave carpet was used on short-nose cars and up to some point, but I have no experience to base this on and do not know at what point it may have changed.

Forgive the temporary detour, but are there certification stations other than authorized Ferrari dealers? I wasn't aware of that. If so, how would one find out who they are?

    Thanks.

As a follow to my previous post on the GTB trunk carpet, the original carpet pattern measures, on average, 5 ½ rows per inch or 11 rows every 2 inches.

The ones in my 1967 GTC are aqua green, not 100% guaranteed original though since the car was restored.
