    The car was previously owned by Magnus Walker. We purchased the car from him in 2011 and after a short while decided the car deserved to have a concours restoration.

    Everything was done to the highest standards by some of the best guys in the business.

    The way you see the car is the way it was sold originally in 1967. It was actually made in 09/66.

    There are 3-4 little details I am going to clear up over the next few months then its done-done. I have plans to show the car over next summer and if the car Gods allow...get it accepted into Pebble Beach.

    I will have a formal A-Z site created documenting the cars journey...for any of you considering a complete nut and bolt restoration this will be very good info for you. Spoiler alert: take what every amount of money you think it will cost and add at least 50%. Take whatever amount of time you think it will take and double it.

    Very difficult to get a 911 accepted to Pebble Beach. A much too common of a production car even though it's really special to us Porschephiles. 1998 and this year were exceptions. They only have room for so many cars. Most are unique, extremely low production and coachbuilt. They're a bit more open in the preservation class. This year was an exception because the 911 celebrated it's 50th anniversary and 1998 because Porsche was featured at the Historics. Don't know of any other years? I'm sure someone on here will make a correction. Absolutely love your car though! One of my all time favorite models and color combos! I'd be interested in it!

    Hello Freeman,

    We too have a place in Laguna and have run into you a few times at C&C!

    Appreciate your advice. Maybe I will scale my ambitions for this car to the more expected Porsche shows...356 show in Dana, etc. Few events in Austin that she will attend in 2014 as well.

    I really want to get it featured in a few magazines. Bucket list goal from when I was a kid growing up in Ohio.

    I know about the legends event....probably the best event during car week. I am already making plans to get the car to Monterey for the 2014 festivities.

    Thanks for the reminder about the PCA event in Monterey in June...going to put that one the calender and call the shipping company today!

    P.S. John Clinard, my colleague is on the Pebble Beach board. Next time you're at C&C you can ask him about Pebble Beach. He's the unassuming tall one with glasses with a red had at the entrance of C&C who a lot of guys that come to C&C give him and his wife a bad time but don't realize who he is. Most of these guys just think he's an old guy that "just works there"!. He most likely has forgotten more about their car than they will ever know about their car. Nicest most sincere knowledgeable person you will ever meet!

    The level of detail for pebble, not to mention the car type, is off the charts. Not your normal restoration.
