Actually in 1992 I was guiding a group of 5 or 6 Brits at the 500 and I had us breakfast on the Monday morning at the motel next to the track.
I saw AJ was there at another table so I told them how about we wait for him in the lobby, unanimous yes and 15 minutes later he came out and very graciously posed for photos with us.
The group was happy, saying how he was not the gruff bear that they had read he was!

 

I am trying to arrange an image of the Miura's new owner with the car for your collective viewing pleasure, people are busy, these things take a little time...
