Very special Daytona, saw it at Matsuda collection in Japan years ago. After he shut down his museum and collection this car ended up with a dealer in south of France. Lost track after that.

I purchased 12925 on 14 August 2010 from Gooding at Pebble and paid US$ 1'912'500 total, on behalf of a client who still owns it today.
A complete one-off Daytona built by Pininfarina and not by Scaglietti. It was first shown at the Paris Motor Show on 5 October 1969 on the Pininfarina stand. Original color is Blu Tourbillon 2.443.607 with Pelle Bianco (white leather). It has a brushed stainless steel rollbar with removable zip-out plastic rear window. Plexiglass headlight covers, wrap around front and rear bumpers, additional fog lights below the front bumpers, an elongated rear body section, ac, radio, and a special interior with seat inserts more similar to a 365 GTC4. A complete one-off and a very fascinating, important piece in Daytona history. The internal engine number is B200. After the October 1969 show in Paris Pininfarina sold 12925 to M. Gastone Crepaldi Automobili S.p.A. in Milan who re-sold it May 1970 to the first private owner Sig. Rissi in Milan, hence he little chromed tag on the right rear of the car. Rissi returned 12925 to Crepaldi in 1978 who then sold it to Matsuda in Japan. Matsuda sold it 10 July 2003 via Symbolic Motor Car Company of La Jolla to Jean Guikas/GTC Sarl. in Marseille, who was the consignor at Gooding's in Pebble Beach August 2010.

I remember this one off at Pebble some years ago. I believe I observed it getting certified by the HVA team while I was a trainee.

Was there ever another 365GTB/4 with a similar stainless steel bar and rear window treatment? I seem to recall seeing one in Florida with Henn or Baumgarten in the 1980s or 1990s.
