I know someone that got a NEW 1968 Lamborghini Islero here in the PNW..the car is pretty darn nice. It was a pleasure helping a great guy and A FERRARI OWNER get his toe's over to the "Dark Side"!

Car is extremely clean, quite orginal with a great set of documented history that came with it. It was a great find! I have to be honest however...once it arrived, the day prior to Thanksgiving, I took it out for a 20 mile shakedown cruise..I was hoping he would change his mind and I could KEEP it!

I am looking forward to seeing it around aand I am SURE it will be at the E@RTC next season. I will respect the Privacy of the new proud Papa and let him post if he wishes..

    Roy,
No big secret about #6318 that was offered on Ebay and removed before the sale end :
    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/?cmd=ViewItem&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649&item=170713027681&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT#ht_1172wt_1004

It was originally delivered "Argento/Tobacco", but has been red in his life before being resprayed in silver.

About its originality... allow me to point the fact that it has fenders flares like an Islero GTS, done after production as it the 104th produced, so it is non original or a mistake for a such GT !

However, it seems to be a nice car !

Correct..was never represented as a GTS car..but your right, guess we should have just rolled it off the end of a pier into the Ocean due to it's modifications..then no one would have to worry about a car that has been re-sprayed or modifications..after all that NEVER happens to any Lamborghini's

    Sarcasm I hope.

I, for one, with Fred, appreciate that kind of info from Olivier.

Yes, it is..just pointing out it is still a nice car and makes someone happy...it's not a POS due to it's modifications.

True, as of late the older cars have just so much appeal to me. I think it is the history they carry, the story's they tell, the design and detail work that gives each one it's own regconigtion...but most of all...to me...the total joy and experiance of ACTUALY "Driving" a car that requires the skill and experiance of a true driver to bring out all it's potential and ear to ear smiles.

Just like this car when I drove it, sure a new age GTR or Lexus could blow me away..BUT they are "just" a car..no heart, no connection no soul. Just a computer generated comglomarartion of who knows what rolling down the pavement.

    Couldn't agree more! +1

I just love the older Lamborghini's. When I had the Jalpa, just knowing I was driving a car that only about 410 were ever made was incredible! 410!!!! No telling how many of them are wrecked now, taken out of the country, etc...

Same with the Countach. Knowing that less than 2000 were built from the early-70's through the 25th Anniversary in 1990! You just know that you are driving something special and rare!

As Roy can attest, when 20 Lambo's show up at our weekly "Exotics @ Redmond Town Center" the crowd is always around the older cars (Miura, Countach, 400GT, Jarama, etc..). Not to say people still don't drool over the Murci's, Gallardo, Diablo's, etc.. but the older cars are just like a magnet for enthusiasts.

...you whould better give it to me instead of rolled it off the end of a pier... ah, ah, ah

but when you wrote about its originality : "quite orginal", you are not right...

let's take for instance your awesome LP400 Countach, it doesn't have the extension fenders of the S... so your car is "original", see what I meant ?

#6318 with the new proud owner. Getting the suspension mechanicals sorted at Alfa of Tacoma. Looking forward to driving her down to Monterey next August. Thanks to Roy & Steve for helping put her in my garage.
