Colleagues, After a long, intensive year, in about 2 months we will be reassembling our Mexico after a thorough restoration. I am keen to to acquire an appropriate screw set for the trim reassembly. Any hints or tips on where I can acquire the correct (or nearly correct) screw set for putting trim back on the car - both interior and exterior? Many thanks Phil & Nick PS I would post photos and start a thread but I have used up my allocation of photos on Chat.
Dear Phil, I have two unidentified Mexico in restoration in Australia. A yellow one and a bare metal example with Ian Crisp. Is it one of these cars ? Regards Charles Maserati Mexico Registry PS : I'm also interested by the correct screw set for the interior !
Hi Phil, The best source and widely recognized as correct interior fasteners for Pininfarina, Vignale and other early Sixties coach build cars is Newco Products - Ferrari and Italian Auto Restoration Newco Products - Ferrari and Italian Auto Restoration They have a large selection of very hard to find fasteners and hoses, etc. for Maserati and Ferrari. Great service and run by one guy, Neil Mangia. Chris Rose
Hi Charles I am not aware of a yellow car. The Ian Crisp car I am well aware of as it was at the same body shop as mine. Ian and I have been swapping "war stories". There is a white LHD car that also has just finished a restoration here in Victoria and a Blue auto about to receive some love and attention. There is a lot of Mexico activity here in Melbourne. Many thanks Phil
