1972 365 2+2 ignition switch

    Hello everyone I’ve been doing some work to my uncles 1972 365 2+2 and the ignition switch is completely melted the key just spins around I’m having trouble locating a replacement any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys

    Very common part. Rutlands should have them on the shelf. Just be sure you get the German made one and not the Chinese knock off.

    Another option is to google the part number written on it. Several European makes used them.

    As I have posted several times, it is a BMW 2002tii era part. Over-the counter part at BMW parts counter. <>$100USD. And, like Mr. Rifledriver said...do not buy the cheap asian one. Buy only the German part. Jq.
