While we did near everything on the last year project, one thing we let untouched and it was a mistake because the heating radiators went leaking and all the hidden hoses were still the first ones and worn out, so they got a complete rebuild incl. new hoses and also the ventilation claps got a detailing.

Bonus beside, the last edges of the engine bay are now detailed and the complete air system is cleaned.
No dust and particles anymore while using the vent! Clean air! Heating system ready for the next 50 years… :)

    Nice job!
What did you use to insulate the heat shields?

I tend to do same when replacing wire sets in Daytonas.
Other slightly annoying, tiny details with today’s replacement ignition cables are their red color being significantly lighter and OD bigger than OEM.
    Oh well.

Nice job on the “brownie”, btw.

Curious if you have the Factory Tech Service Bulletin regarding oil-level marks on the dipstick?
Both cars I have owned had incorrect readings, that is the "full " mark was 1+ quarts over filled.
I have attached the bulletin for your information.

Although it would look more appropriate if all wrinkle finished parts were matching, as they originally were.

New wrinkle paint is on the cam covers and chain house covers and the manifolds,
the wrinkle could be a little bit stronger but the finish came close to the original finish.

The rest: heat shields, pipe and oil collector are still untouched original! And they aren‘t the same finish.

not all pieces had the same degree of wrinkle as the parts were painted by different suppliers under different conditions.

Most of the unrestored Daytonas with (likely) original engine bay finishes I’ve documented and/or observed had suggested more consistency, but that in itself could be considered an oxymoron in a world of vintage Ferraris. ;)

Yes, small flake portion and thin paint with a semigloss finish, more on the semi than the glossy side.
