    Hi everyone,
I am new to this forum (and Dinos as well). I am seriously considering a red exterior / black interior 1972 Fiat Dino 2.4 convertible that has been substantially restored. The engine has also been rebuilt and the odometer shows 3000 or so miles. It has an updated sound system (I would have preferred the original), restored interior, soft top and has been repainted. The restoration work is quite nice with the exception that I need the seller to refinish the painted rims (they have curb rash) and to strip and repaint the passenger side door as it has rust bubbles along the lower edge of the door. I did not find rust anywhere else. The seller has agreed to take care of these items. I am planning a PPI as well for compression, etc. BUT as I have no experience with this model, my question is - what is the range in value on this model and is there a way to get a VIN history. I tired autocheck but it just reported the VIN as incorrect because it does not have 17 digits. I was also wondering if there are issues I should be aware of from a mechanical or value stand point? Does the fact that the engine has been rebuilt and the odometer reset alter the value of the car. TIA Andrew
