Hi All, the stitching on my passenger seat has come apart at the hip area and I need to have it restitched. Is there an easy way to get the seat out without removing the frame rails? I'd like to just take the seat to the trim shop and not the whole car. I tried to do a search but didn't see anything. Thanks

I think you can just push the adjustment lever and move the seat forward and off the rails. It might be hard because of grit and old grease. I would suggest taking the seat and rails off together and then removing the rails. It would be a great time to clean and re-lubricate the seat rails. They are out of sight and usually neglected.

If I remember correctly, there is a cap head bolt at each end of each rail. Slide the seat forward to remove the rear ones, then slide the seat backward to remove the front one.

I agree with Mark - I don't think you can remove the seats without removing the rails. It is pretty simple in and out, but like most things on a Dino, a tight space to work in...

Can you just take out the front bolts?

My long-term memory isn't great, but as I remember - no... Once the seats were out, I don't remember the seat track sliding off. I believe there is a positive stop at each end of the track. And, yes, the rear bolts are tedious to remove.

Using a low profile ratchet set such as this makes the job easy. Once the seats and rails are out there is just 2 bolts through each runner to detach them from the seat.
