Please could somebody please confirm the correct wiring for a original twin dist' ignition set-up. I've rewired most of the LT wiring and I just want to confirm the coil connections. My Marelli coils do not have +/- markings, but
1 and 12 instead. The old wiring had 1 going to the points and 12 going to the +12 volts. (Is "12" for 12 volts?) Also I want to add relays to give the full 12 volts to the coils (bypassing the ballast resistors) whilst the engine is cranking, it would simplify the wiring if the ballast resistors were in the supply rather than the - side of the coil. Do you think that this would cause any problem as long as they still remain in the normal LT wiring somewhere? Also if changing to single point ignition is all that I need to do is to disconnect one end of the dual ended condensers on each dist' and to remove the cable from the accelerator microswitch? Thanks for your help.

    Hi

the original GT4's had a relay to bypass the ballast resistors. You can find the wiring diagram online at my web site: http://dino308gt4.com . I have different coils now so I can't check the 1/12 numbering for you.
