Got sprayed Tuesday able to see it today. For some of you that have been watching this resto over the years. I found some improper bodywork after the car was painted the first time. Repaired correctly and restripped the car to bare metal again and had repainted...yes a different house. Yet to be wet sanded. The "sun" side was almost too bright to photograph. The job looks very good. Very pleased with these guys

    Wow, what a project!
I did the same thing with my 1940 Lincoln Zephyr convertible. At about this point in the project I had boxes and boxes of parts having little notes attached and wondered if I could ever remember where they all belonged.
I suppose the car will start coming back together now.
Keep us all advised of progress.

Looks great! Good job, sticking with it. Our Ferraris might be the last car made that you can give this kind of "frame-off" restoration. Newer cars are too complex.

Pretty cool. What color is that? You aren't that far from Kansas City where my 400i lives. What shop are you using to do the body/paint work? Hope when its done you'll bring it up to a FCA event here in KC.

This just makes me want to strip mine apart and make it perfect. Trouble is I've done this before and ended up with cars so perfect that I was too paranoid to drive them in case it rained or they got damaged. Still, being an English idiot I'll definitely do it again when my new garage is ready.

Looks like you're doing a great job which will be well worthwhile (satisfaction-wise if not financially) and will doubtless give you many years of enjoyment.

I await more photos of the rebuild with great interest so keep 'em coming please.

    Keep up the excellent work

    All the best,

    Russ

Thanks for the encouragement. The color is the scanned original color which is grigio argento. Silver gray. These guys are doing the stripping paint and light bodywork. The Metal forming and leadwork done by a 73 year old "old school" body man. I hope to use the car. I guess if I get caught in a rain I will stop off at the cigar shop and enjoy my really nice driver. I am 2 1/2 hrs south of KC, I hope to document the car at a few events before I drive it too much. My biggest goal right now is to finish it! The shop is called Premier in Buffalo Mo. They have done some exceptional winged car projects mostly US Muscle some English this is their first F car. Good young guys that do things concientously.
